Before We Got Married ( Relationship Life Story by a Nurse)

The challenges of a male nurse who married a colleague doctor

It was almost in the last part of my internship at one of the State University's Teaching hospitals, during the Christmas period of 2012.

we were all getting ready with selection and arranging of all our documents from the various departments that we were posted.

Gathering our attendance sheets and log books for signing and arranging our reports was the major work for that day. Every one of us was excited to finally be out of this place and back to school again, though we were to have our final exams in less than a months’ time.

Invitro Fertilization(IVF),CS & Adoption:Why Do We React like This About Them?

The problem of infertility is very real. It can only be known in its total nature by those affected.

No amount of explanation would be enough to put you in their shoes if you are not wearing it or, have never worn it.

If one has not suffered infertility or has been having an easy conception, it might be hard to understand really what it means to not be able to conceive.

Many women and couples, including highly educated ones, have descended to the lowest levels of doing ridiculous things commanded by some herbalists and spiritual/religious opportunists and crooks just to have a child or be able to conceive.

One Of My Most Stressful Days (True Story by a Nurse)

I have had many stressful days at work. This is just one of them and I hope it will help to encourage someone.

Let's begin...

It was a day that got me into a lot of moods and emotions .It was a day that put me to the test of patience and self-control.
It was also a day that I learned the lesson of responsibility in a hard way.

Even though other colleagues were angry at what happened, I was calm. Maybe because I was too weak to talk or even to get angry.

I simply did what I was supposed to do,took the next available bus and rode home, sleeping most of the time as I commuted.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Are You In a Wrong Relationship? Check These Facts

This little post is about Nurses and Relationships/Romance. A simple piece of advice to someone who is in a wrong place right now but hasn't the strength to unbolt and walk away free.

To be in a wrong relationship is the worst form of stress. Its worse than having a 0ne month marathon night shifts(if that were even possible)

It creates a mental, emotional and psychological torture that can only be related by the one involved.

A bad relationship drains you completely and makes anxiety your second nature.

If you find out that a relationship isn't working,do yourself a favor and take a walk.Save yourself an imminent heartbreak and depression.

Why Many People Want To Be Nurses Nowadays:True or False?

REASONS WHY PEOPLE RUSH INTO NURSING TODAY
As we are left this place in November, others were coming in.

Every year, thousands of candidates are enrolling into the school of nursing.

This trend was not there before but, recently it seems nursing has become one of the most attractive professions on earth.

Hundreds of thousand nurses review and pass the board exams, and get licensed annually. Still, more and more are lining up just to get that nursing degree.

Are Nurses Guilty of Indecent Dressing?

Indecent dressing is the wearing of any apparel clothes that is not socially, culturally and morally acceptable.

The society obviously frowns at this modern trend that is causing serious vices and creating serious outcry.

The nurse is supposed to be an epitome of every inimitable virtue, a mirror of goodness and powerful light that shines strongly to illumine the dark path of the society where s/he operates.

The nurse is seen as same both in the hospital setting and outside. The patient and relations that you treat in the hospital will always address you as,”nurse” or “my nurse” whenever they see you either in the bus, train station, driving your car, at the airport, church or any social function.

Everyone was disturbed and angry but as usual, you need to keep your calm, recalling that he was still a patient and the customer was always right.

But would the customer be right when he assaults or tries to kill you even when you are there to save and nurture his own life?

I promised to let you know what happened between the hospital CEO, the patient and nurse Jane, today. So here is the story.

Enjoy…

I Was Dumped After Buying My Wedding Dress

It’s September. That time of year when the air is cool enough to let you enjoy the sun beating down as you sit on a terrace sipping a glass of sangria.
I’m laughing with my best friend about her disastrous dates.

I used to be able to relate, but recently, it has been all about which flowers will be in my bouquet, who makes the guest list, what to do with those relatives I haven’t seen in 10 years but Mom says I “absolutely need” to include.

You, Do You

WARNING! If you clicked on this, make sure you read to the end

I had a friend in school, the "most likely to succeed" type.

She was brilliant - book and street smart - had the drive and ambition, was almost always the first to be considered for a position of responsibility but...

Ten years after we graduated, she was still job hunting.

From one mediocre, destiny destroying, slave labour masquerading as a "job" to the other. She would get frustrated after three months of deceiving herself she had a job, and kuku embrace her unemployment status with pride.

Monitor Heart Rate With A Camera Anywhere!

How would it feel to be able to monitor peoples heart rates with a camera even in public places like bus stops, banking halls, schools and churches without disrupting anything?

The possibilities are endless.

Meet Oxehealth, a startup that plans to turn any regular security camera into a health monitor.

The British company wants to make it easier to monitor patients in a hospital, police station, psychiatric hospital or an assisted living residence. It’s a non-intrusive way to make sure that everybody is doing well. The startup is launching onstage at Disrupt London.

Nearly Killed By Patient's Relations

It was a day that remains etched in my memory and even though it’s been many years now since it happened, I still recall clearly the terror and fear that ran through the cool atmosphere of that evening as they roared in anger.

It was just one event captured in a certain place which depicts the risks that nurses and medics face everyday in the discharge of their duties.

Countless remain unknown because they are unreported.

What actually happened?

Male Nurses Most Likely To Marry Female Nurses

Is it really true?

Is it true that romance or marriage is usually tied somehow to ones profession? What they mean is that people are most likely to marry according to their jobs.

Well,on today's post i want to bring to you 30 jobs in which the people are most likely to marry themselves.

Lets go...

SLAPPED BY AN ANGRY PATIENT

The patient is a regular visitor to that hospital and almost everyone gets upset each time he is seen, coming in for admission.

He is like a terror to the nurse and he seems to be aware of what he was doing.

The shift leaders usually assigned some people to attend to him .He is among the big guys in the city who run things.
Hes also among those who take pleasure in reporting the nurses to the hospital CEO on the flimsiest excuses.

Nobody wants to be queried on useless issues and since the customer is always right, everyone tries to please them even when they obviously misbehaved.

The guy had diabetes, and could not control his blood sugar as directed, hence was always returning for uncontrolled blood glucose.

Ebola nurse Pauline Cafferkey tests negative for the virus

We all read in the news about her departure from her comfortable abode to come down to a dreaded ebola infested area to care for the victims.

According to Sky News,Nurse Pauline had tested negative to the virus and there is no fear for her friends or relatives, including coworkers. Her courage courage is amazing.

Pauline Cafferkey, the nurse who contracted Ebola in west Africa, has tested negative for the virus.
She was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow in an ambulance with a police escort from her home in Cambuslang on Thursday morning.

In a statement the hospital said: "We are pleased to report that tests for the Ebola virus are negative. She remains in a stable condition."

The hospital has stressed that there is no risk to the public.
Ms Cafferkey, aged 40, was infected with the virus while working in Sierra Leone for Save The Children in 2014.

She has previously been admitted to hospital three times following her return to the UK.
The children's nurse was cleared last month of professional misconduct, after she was accused of concealing her high temperature when she returned from West Africa.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council had argued that she had "potentially put the public at risk" after being cleared to fly home while in the early stages of Ebola.
And it said she damaged trust in the nursing profession.

See Why Women Live Longer Than Men

I have heard it said several times that it is better to marry a woman who is 10 years younger than the man because not only do women tend to age faster, the man also has the chances of dying earlier. And it usually happens that the man's age and the woman's may seem same as they grow together.

Is there something in the Y chromosome that makes men more susceptible to aging and disease?

Probably not, say researchers. The fact that women in the U.S. live an average of 5 years longer than men can't be explained by physiological differences.

Woman Hides Recorder in Her Hair During Surgery, Catches Doctor Body-Shaming Her

A woman who says she was body-shamed by doctors and nurses while on the operating table — and that she has an audio file, from a recorder hidden in her weave, to prove it — is speaking out about the “physical, mental, and emotional scars” it has caused her.

“When you are lying there and these people have you uncovered and you trust them and they speak like this, it’s a bad situation,” Ethel Easter, of Houston, tells Yahoo Beauty through tears about her experience at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, where she had hernia surgery in August to help correct a severe case of acid reflux.

 “It’s given me self-esteem issues.”

Things You Should Never Say to Someone Who Has Cancer

It’s important to choose your words carefully when speaking to a cancer patient. Though you probably mean well, it’s all too easy to accidentally insult someone.

According to Barbara L. Andersen, PhD, a researcher and professor of psychology, two of the best things to say are easy: “I’m sorry you’re ill” and “I’m thinking of you.” In fact, sometimes gestures speak louder than words. For instance, sending flowers or watching TV with your friend can offer comfort.

Every cancer patient has a different opinion and experience, of course, and many know that you do mean well. But to avoid putting your foot in your mouth, don’t utter these next

10 Phrases you should never use for a cancer patient.

What Happens In Your Body When You Dont Drink Water(Short VIDEO).MUST WATCH!

Just today ,we discussed this in class-the effects of not drinking enough water. And here,i wish to let you into the truths of what happens in your body when you take enough water and when you decide to go without water.

We’ve all done it––gone too long without drinking water and gotten a little (or a lot) dehydrated. We know it’s bad for us, but what exactly does it do? This video goes into the nitty gritty.

Healthy cooking techniques: Boost flavor and cut calories

Healthy cooking doesn't mean that you have to become a gourmet chef or invest in expensive cookware. You can use basic cooking techniques to prepare food in healthy ways.

By using healthy-cooking techniques, you can cut fat and calories. Consider, for instance, that each tablespoon (about 15 milliliters) of oil you use when frying adds more than 100 calories. To put it in perspective — adults should limit fat calories to no more than 20 to 35 percent of total daily calories.

For a 2,000-calorie diet, that means no more than 400 to 700 calories from fat a day. By switching to roasting, you not only eliminate added fat but also allow any fat in the food to drip away.

How Technology Can Benefit You As A Nurse

In the early days of online education, serious students viewed the entire concept with great skepticism

And for valid reasons: dial-up Internet connections were too slow, educational institutions popped up out of nowhere that no one had ever heard of, and the list goes on.

But technology is forever improving. Below are several reasons why today’s distance learning options are fantastic options for those who are seeking a quality education from an online nursing school.
  • Many courses today have progressed well beyond one lackluster slide after another. Broadband connections have greatly improved the streaming videos that make an online classroom come alive. Students can now see and hear their instructor deliver a prepared lecture, often in real-time.

7 Questions To Ask Before Accepting To Marry Them

Marriage isn’t a walk in the park and it isn’t a drama. Marriage is a serious business and only serious minds can enter and succeed. Seriousness of marriage demands that you make serious soul searching and ask serious questions and be very sincere with the answers.

Marriage can make or mar a life and nothing is as devastating as a wrong choice.

So what are the important questions you may need to ask before you say ‘I DO”?

Whether because of shyness, lack of interest or a desire to preserve romantic mystery, many couples do not ask each other the difficult questions that can help build the foundation for a stable marriage, according to relationship experts.

In addition to wanting someone with whom they can raise children and build a secure life, those considering marriage now expect their spouses to be both best friend and confidant. These romantic-comedy expectations, in part thanks to Hollywood, can be difficult to live up to.

Below are some key points I want to share with you on this issue. Please feel very free to say your opinion in the comment box below, let’s discuss this and stay happy in our relationships. If you are ready, let's roll......

With Belgians reeling in shock from Tuesday’s deadly suicide bombings in the capital Brussels, officials said several suspects were still the run, and that they were far from cracking the jihadist network behind the attacks.

“There are still a number of people possibly involved, remaining, who have not been arrested and who still pose a danger,” Paul van Tigchelt, director of the government’s Center for Analysis of Threats, told reporters on Wednesday. “Police and intelligence services are working with all their might on the basis of information from yesterday and today.”

What Is ZIKA VIRUS?W hat You Should Know.

By Sheena Maireen Saavedra, RN

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have recently sounded an alarm. There was a completely uncommon birth defect identified, which was caused by a rare virus being spread by mosquitoes last January, warning women in America and raising awareness in a worldwide spectrum not to get pregnant if they are or have been in certain countries in South America.

The said virus causing an alarm was named Zika, and it is maintaining its momentum of breaking into multiple territories as we speak.
