Being pregnant is a load of work on its own. Kick-boxing is another work.
Pregnant and kickboxing is a combination I am sure that not many people would fancy, but not Reece.
According to Mashable, the six-time world champion muay thai fighter, Caley Reece is living proof that pregnancy doesn't have to mean lack of mobility. The athlete took to Facebook to upload a video of herself training at week 39 of her pregnancy and impressive is putting it lightly.
Reece addressed previous commenters who expressed concern that she
was endangering her child by fighting while pregnant, saying "There is
no more danger here than there is power walking or twisting in a pool.
For those that have no idea, we do not pivot with our stomachs in muay thai, we turn and pivot with our hips and feet.
"We have been doing this for over 40 years combined. Don't stop what you love. There's always ways around everything."
In a recent interview,
Reece said "Pregnancy is not an illness or sickness. It's not a reason
to stop living. It's a reason to start looking after yourself. You are
creating life so you need to be in good mental and physical condition.
If not for yourself, then for your new addition."
What a woman!
